Today is the tomorrow I worried about yesterday
And today was such a lovely day,
that I wondered why I worried about today yesterday
So today I am not going to worry about tomorrow
There may not be a tomorrow anyway
So today I am going to live as if there is no tomorrow
And I am going to forget about yesterday.
Today is the tomorrow I planned for yesterday
And nearly all my plans for today did not plan out the way I thought they would yesterday
So today I am forgetting about tomorrow and I will plan for today
But not too strenuously
Today I will stop to smell a rose
I will tell a loved one how much I love her
I will stop planning for tomorrow and plan to make today the best day of my life.
Today is the tomorrow I was afraid of yesterday
And today was nothing to be afraid of
So today I will banish fear of the unknown
I will embrace the unknown as a learning experience full of exciting opportunities
Today, unlike yesterday I will not fear tomorrow.
Today is the tomorrow I dreamed about yesterday
And some of the dreams I dreamt about yesterday came true today
So today I am going to continue dreaming about tomorrow
And perhaps more of the dreams I dream today will come true tomorrow.
Today is the tomorrow I set goals for yesterday
And I reached some of those goals today
So today I am going to set slightly higher goals for today and tomorrow
And if tomorrow turns out to be like today
I will certainly reach all of my goals one day!

The Philosophy of Six Sigma
Six Sigma is not just any other program; it is a way of running a business. It is a way of carrying out the activities at near perfect levels, and focuses on elimination of defects and tackling variations.
It aims at achieving customer satisfaction leading to customer delight. Process or product improvement and development of new products - if needed - are a few ways improving businesses.
Six Sigma can be considered to be a measure, a philosophy, and a target.
Implementing Methodologies
Six Sigma is a management philosophy that is based on the theory that reduction in defects is a better approach to lowering costs and customer loyalty. It realizes the fact that defects are expensive. To gain a competitive edge, developing a high quality product at the right cost is essential for customer satisfaction and profitability. Variations limit process performance.
Though variations cannot be eliminated entirely, efforts to reduce them can be made. The target of Six Sigma is to have 3.4 defects per million opportunities. The cost of poor quality represents 20 to 30 percent of total company revenues. The Six Sigma approach is to implement methodologies that aim at reaching world-class quality by improvement of 50 percent or more.
While some traditional methods rely on measuring output and establishing controls, Six Sigma focuses on eliminating them. It involves listening to voice of customers to bring about this change. By listening to customers, importance is given to understanding the value expectations of customers, which help eliminate the root cause of dissatisfaction.
The Six Sigma philosophy is that of continuous improvement; it is also in making decisions based on data-driven facts that are aligned to the business' objectives.
The Three Methodologies
Six Sigma encompasses three methodologies, process management, DMAIC and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS). Process management involves control of processes to meet the business' goals. This necessitates having proper systems for data collection, decision-making and bringing about improvement initiatives. DMAIC, which stands for "Define - Measure- Analyze-Improve-Control", is the roadmap for achieving the target of defect-free processes and improved products.
Six Sigma teams follow the process of identifying and defining defects, analyzing the defects using various measures, suggesting improvements and having metrics or controls in place to achieve the goals of the business. By implementing the usage of standard operating procedures throughout the business, fewer defects can be ensured along with the integrations of products, services and distribution.
Another methodology that is useful to understand is the DFSS methodology. This methodology is useful when there is a need to design an entirely new product or process that will meet customer requirements.
Thus, the Six Sigma philosophy aims to bring about improvements in profitability and productivity. It can be applied to any organization, big or small and focuses on bringing about a reduced cycle time, reducing waste and developing better time management with a systematic approach to problem solving.
Business leaders have to decide what is necessary for their particular organization, and focus on improving and sustaining the gains.

Leadership Snobbery? The Need To Distinguish Between Management and Leadership
Have you ever heard one of the following?
* "Are you referring to leadership or management?"
* "I don't do management training, I do leadership development training."
* "We have a great group of managers. They really know how to execute. We just need more good leaders."
Why do we have a need to separate management and leadership? To be a good manager, one needs to have leadership skills and values, and vice versa.
How many effective managers are poor listeners? How many good leaders don’t complete things when they say they will? In the real world, the fundamental characteristics of both leadership and management overlap considerably. Good managers lead people, and as good managers/leaders grow, they typically acquire the skills of higher level managers/leaders.
Before making a decision, does a manager stop and think, “Am I managing now, or am I leading?” “Would my decision be different if I were a leader versus a manager?”
Some would have us believe that leadership exists on a higher plain. Management is a base skill, whereas leadership is “the next level” – skills reserved for the great. We appear fixated with the glamorous - the need to be visionaries, innovators, and master strategists.
Let’s face it, leadership sells. Management does not. Management is boring, right? We all want to be leaders! Unfortunately, this brand of thinking often results in the neglecting of fundamental management and leadership skills. These basics are skipped over because the focus is shifted to grander leadership pursuits that unfortunately can not possibly be achieved without the proper foundation.
When we prop up leadership, are we really encouraging people to achieve something better, or are we simply lowering the bar for existing managers and continuing to slide toward mediocrity? Can a person now be a good manager while possessing a fraction of the skills previously required?
Let’s break down the artificial wall between management and leadership. Let’s shed the leadership snobbery, re-hoist the bar and turn our focus toward turning out better “Leadagers.”

Affirmations 7 Powerful Tips to Use Them to Get What You Want
Simply put, affirmations are your positive self talk. They are a powerful tool which can help give you that much needed success mindset. They are simple, easy to use, and very effective. What follows are seven tips which can help you create and use affirmations to help you achieve your goals.
Tip number one is to simply remember that affirmations are portable and can be used anywhere and at anytime. Let' say for example that you are sitting outside the board room waiting to be called in to give a presentation which could make or break your career, you can use a simple affirmation or two to help you calm your nerves. You might say to yourself, "I am confident and well-spoken" or "I am giving a successful presentation". By relaxing, taking some deep breaths, and repeating those affirmations to yourself, you may find that you begin to relax and your nervousness begins to subside.
Tip number two is to keep your affirmations short, simple, to the point, and in the present tense. Affirmations are the most effective when they are short, simple, one liners that you can repeat to yourself over and over again. "I am always on time" or "I am a great cook", are a couple of examples.
Tip number three is really refreshing to know and it is that affirmations work even if you don't believe them at first. An example of this would be if, in the past, you have been late a lot and you want to affirm that you are always on time for your appointments; your mind will begin to take it on even if you don't believe it. You will become more conscious of the time and your mind will begin to come up with ways to ensure that you arrive on time for your appointments.
It is very important that your affirmations are positive, this is tip number four. Your subconscious mind cannot decipher between a positive and a negative affirmation, it will take on either one. If you say to yourself, "I am not failing this test", your subconscious mind will hear "failing this test". Instead you should say "I am passing this test".
Tip number five is to avoid the common trap that we all so easily fall into; do not affirm your mistakes and make them part of who you are. For example, if you burn dinner once again, do not say "I am a bad cook". Just accept yourself as human and someone who makes mistakes, and then begin to affirm that you are a great cook.
Tip number six is to use a daily affirmation each morning to support your goals for that day. When you get up each day, look at your schedule for the day and come up with the best affirmation to support the achievement of your goals for the day. You will probably soon find some common affirmations that work best for you on a regular basis.
Last, but not least is to record your affirmations in you own voice to listen to daily while driving or as needed. You can record them as an mp3 file and download free mixing software. You can then mix your affirmation file with a nice piece of instrumental music. By adjusting the volume levels of each file while mixing it, you can create a great piece of music which has supportive and positive subliminal messages to yourself.
Affirmations truly are an amazingly powerful tool. I hope you have found at least something in these seven tips which you can use to make your affirmations more effective. We all have self talk, the key is to use it in a positive way to affirm and support our success.

New Element : Administratium
The heaviest element known to science was recently discovered by physicists at the Naval Research Laboratory. The element, tentatively named Administratium, has no protons or electrons and thus has an atomic number of 0. However, it does have 1 neutron, 126 assistant neutrons, 75 vice neutrons and 111 assistant
vice neutrons. This gives it an atomic mass of 312. These 312 particles are held together in a nucleus by a force that involves the continuous exchange of meson-like particles called morons.
Since it has no electrons, Administratium is inert. However, it can be detected chemically as it impedes every reaction it comes in contact with. According to the discoverers, a minute amount of Administratium caused one
reaction to take over four days to complete when it would normally occur in less than one second.
Administratium has a normal half life of approximately three years, at which time it does not actually decay, but instead, undergoes a reorganization in which assistant neutrons, vice neutrons and assistant vice neutrons exchange places. Some studies have shown that the atomic weight actually increases after such reorganization.
Research at other laboratories indicates that Administratium occurs naturally in the atmosphere. It tends to concentrate at certain points such as government agencies, large corporations and universities, and can actually be found in the newest, best maintained buildings.
Scientists point out that Administratium is known to be toxic at any level of concentration, can easily destroy any productive reactions where it is allowed to accumulate, and recommend plenty of fluids and bed rest after even low levels of exposure. Attempts are being made to determine how Administratium can be controlled to prevent irreversible damage, but results to date are not promising.
I also hear that the reaction of Administratium with another new element, TQMium, is fairly unstable. Sometimes chemical bonding occurs and a new improved compound is formed. Other times the reaction is more violent with excessive amounts of heat and darkness being generated and the Administratium remaining
unchanged. It is believed that these differences have some relationship to the number of "holes" in the support provided by the various neutrons. Scientists are looking into them.

If management decides....
Once PVNR (PV Narasimha Rao), L.K.Advani and Laloo Prasad Yadav were going in an auto. They met with an accident and all three of them die.
Yama DharmaRaj was waiting for this moment. He asks PVNR and Advani to go to HEAVEN. But, for Laloo, Yama had already decided that he should be sent to HELL.
Laloo is not at all happy with this decision. He asks Yama as to why this discrimination isbeing made. All three of them served public. Similarly, took bribes, misused public post etc. He felt that there should be a formal test or a concrete way to decide this, and should not be just based on opinion.
Yama agrees to this and asks all three of them to appear for English test. PVNR is asked to spell "INDIA " and he does it correctly. Advani is asked to spell "ENGLAND " and he too passes. It is Laloo's turn and he is asked to spell "CZECHOSLOVAKIA ".
Laloo protests that he doesn't know English. It is not fair that he is given a tough question and thus forced to fail.
Yama agrees to conduct a written test in Hindi (to give another chance assuming that Laloo should at least feel that Hindi is ideal).
PVNR is asked to write "KUTTA BOLA BHOW BHOW". He writes it easily and passes. Advani is asked to write "BILLY BOLI MYAUN MYAUN". He too passes. Laloo is asked to write "BANDAR BOLA GURRRRRR....." Tough one. He Fails.
Laloo is not happy. Being a history student, he preferred only to be tested in History.
Yama says this is the last chance and he would not take any more tests. PVNR is asked: "When didIndia get Independence ?". He replied "1947" and passed.
Advani is asked "How many people died in it?". He gets nervous. Yama asked him to choose from 100,000 or 200,000 or 300,000 (clue). Advani catches it and says 200,000 and passes.
It's Laloo's turn now. Yama asks him to give the Name and Address of each of the 200,000 who died. Laloo accepts defeat and agrees to go to HELL.
MORAL: IF YOUR MANAGEMENT IS DETERMINED TO SCREW YOU, ANTICIPATE IT AND BE PREPARED TO ACCEPT IT. THERE IS NO ESCAPE.
